Let’s get right down to it. Most meat, available for retail purchase in Ventura, is poor in quality, shipped from other states, and comes largely from industrial farming operations. We’re not the type to name names, and we don’t feel we need to.

With that said, we’re here to do something about that. We believe that any food is at it’s highest quality, when it’s produced locally, raised humanely, and left to it’s natural devices as often as possible. In regards to meat, that means that we aim to source from farms that give their livestock ample pasture, feed them their natural and obligate diets, and of course are small, family-owned operations.

We also want to relay to you, our customer, that we have a profound respect for the process of how meat products get to your plate. Quite simply, there is a right way, and there is a wrong way. We’ll strive to always support, help maintain, and be a strong part of the right way.
